A sound start.

This is a good all round guitar method for beginners who want to start on a solid foundation. I've used this method with students as young as 9 years with great success. It's equally useful for much older beginners (my son used it at university, training as a primary school...

Guitar Lessons

This book teaches students about the guitar. It shows them what string and what freet to use to play a certain note. It also shows basic chords such as C major, G seventh, etc., and basic strumming techniques.
