not really beginner or easy
I found this title under "easy piano", but almost all of it is intermediate to advanced. Most key signatures have four or more flats or sharps and the songs contain rather complicated rhythms.

Yay!
This a fantastic musical. Though the music is not what I would call difficult it is one of the few musicals out there that is easy to dance to. I would recomend buying the sheet music only if you have at least seen the movie, definatly if you have seen the Broadway play!

What happened?
I want to know what happened to all of the songs? I went and saw Hairspray in December and bought the book immedietly. I was looking for my favorite song, cooties, and it was no where to be found! If you want the real deal, go and see the musical.

Good Show, Bad Imitation
Hairspray, classic broadway. Tourists come from all over to see this one of a kind comedic musical. But for such a box office hit it amazes me how little effort went into this useless book. Many songs are missing and the imitations are horribly done. [...']

MISSING SONGS!!!! no no no!!!!!!!!!!
We can't believe that this score doesn't include Cooties, Hairspray, Miss Baltimore Crabs, It Takes Two, and Good Morning Baltimore (reprise)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an outrage!!! Also if they had the music for the special drinking nad driving commercial at the end of You Cna't Stop The Beat, the world would be a better place.

Hairspray Rocks
Although this music is a very good immitation, the music is no where near where the Broadway Show stands. As far as the product itself goes it is a very good arrangement for singing, however, you really need to hear the CD to understand the show or get a good hearing of the music. The notes are fairly easy and I have rated this Intermediate because it can be played by almosy anyone who really puts his best into it. Go see the Broadway show. You'll never forget it from Winokur's "Good Morning Baltimore" to the company's "You Can't Stop the Beat"!. Do not let me mislead you from this product. You will love it. Especially if you have seen the show!!!!!Go Marissa Jaret Winokur!
