A good song

I've always liked Great Balls of Fire. I was looking for something a little more advanced. It has bass notes in it, but the right hand just seems so pathetic when played. Nothing to play for an audience, but still fun to hear it yourself.

Not the real music

This is not as full sounding as it needs to be. It's not the way JLL played it. There's a bunch of single notes played and he played chords and more glissandos.

Have you tried playing this song 4 kids?

Yeah it's beginner music. So what? Kids love it. It's easy to teach and play. The problem with you geeks is that you expect soul to be found on a sheet of paper and you've never find it there. I hadn't had any problems with this version of the song. I guess you just have to feel it! It definitely worth $4 bucks or whatever it cost. Kids go crazy when I play it. Thanks- Tim Roy

Not what I expected

When I heard Jerry Lee Lewis play, I fell in love with the song and wished to play it in this years recital, when I got this music I was disappointed to find that it did not have ANY resemblance to the actual Jerry Lee Lewis piece.

Even for beginners....

I advise you not to buy this piece! It is even for beginners very disappointing, for the simplified transcription doesn´t resemble the original by far!

Not so great balls of fire

I bought this piece after having read the two other reviews. Although they both stated this was not the original I was very disappointed to find out just how simple this arrangement was. Believe me this arrangement is for beginners only and I would advise anyone looking for anything that resembles the original to look a lot further than here!!

Good for a foundation

Don't use this song for The Killer's actual performance, but rather as a foundation for advancing the song. It will help you set up the right hand and left hand timings and rhythm without having to worry about nailing triads or other big chords. Play this to learn the song, then add the chords when you're comfortable with it.

THIS IS NOT HOW HE PERFORMED IT

I've certainly seen Jerry Lee Lewis play and this is way too easy, I am not satisfied at all. It is a fairly good arrangement for beginners or maybe early intermediate players, but I was looking for an original, and I'm not succeeding in finding it.
