Gimme a Break
Any reviewer of anything Grateful Dead knows that their magic was in live performances. to blast a songbook because it didnt give you Jerrys magic fingers is clearly amateurish. the way to play like Jerry is to BE Jerry,,, since you cant,, just be yourself... this is a good collection of dead music,, use your creativity and make it good for you... Try INNOVATING!!! BUY THE BOOK ..

GD Book
This book is great, Has all the chord changes to so many great songs. Do not listen to the person who wrote above... the reason he does not like this book is because he wants tabs so he can play Jerrys licks exactly.

don't buy this if you want to learn
don't belive what you read about this book. it's fine if you want to just strum but if you want to learn leads this book sucks . they say it's a tab book it's not. look for it in a store to see if it's what you want. don't buy sight unseen. this book is a waste of time.

It works.
If you have any knowledge of the music and any ablity to play then this book will work. It isn't perfect but what book is. With a good ear for sound you can play the songs close to the studio version. It makes a good reference guide as to about where you should be.
