Brilliant Works in Their Own Right
This edition is wonderful - it features technical exercises which Godowsky developed to go along with several of the studies, all of which can be quite helpful. It's very legible, page turns are as convenient as possible, good notes. These are not meant to replace Chopin's Etudes at all, but...

Difficult, but worth the challenge.
The Godowsky transcription of the Chopin Etudes are very difficult pieces not meant for beginners. But for for pianists who are comfortable with their skill, they should look into the Godowsky Collection. Again, it's a bit of challenge, but learning and practising these pieces will dramatically improve your technical skill,...
