fun with Gershwin
I am a retiree that started piano lessons in retirement. My ability is limited and this book is a reasonable challenge for my skills. I just wish the music was arranged with more chords for the left hand so the music sounded richer.

a superior easier interpretation
Brimhall has written lots of instruction books but this Gershwin 'easy' book is superb. Don't confuse this with typical easy or Big Note books. This is easy intermediate but with full classic sound and harmony. Enough challenge to improve your playing. Masterfully interpreted by Brimhall. I

Very nice and the "right" easy
Easy, but not too easy. Some of the pieces will challenge a beginner to grow! Good stuff. Usually easy arrangements are not so nice, but these are pretty good! This is a nice collection of music that's fun to play with a group of friends who join in and sing. Try Swaney after a few beers and it gets the party rolling :-)

If you like Gershwin music...
this is some of his best and familiar pieces. You will enjoy this book because it has some variety of his work and they are fun to play. In fact, when I heard some of the songs, I didn't realize Gershwin had written them!

easy may be misleading
"This book has been titled easy but I would rate it as a more difficult piece. These music sheets have quite complexe hand coordination that make it difficult to practice. Any how I am a little disappointed that I need to put more effort into playing them than I anticipated from the title."

Best of Gershwin
Great set of Gershwin classic hits for piano. I wouldn't describe the sheet music as "beginner" though for those interested... a bit more challenging. Looking forward to learning to play them all.

Ghost of Gershwin!
Few pianist will ever attain the power of Gershwin at the piano, but these arragnements include enough of the bass lines and chord progressions to allow even us mortals to achieve the spirit of his music. Among the best of my "Easy" piano books. If you love Gershwin, you'll love this book.

Haven't played in 35 years!
I love this collection! I haven't played the piano in 35 years and quite honestly, I wasn't very good when I did play! I can play the selections well enough to really enjoy them and see my progress!

The best piano book I have! (easy piano)
George and Ira Gershwin wrote very beautiful songs and music in their day. Many are represented in this book.
