Sublime French School! Indispensable.
Beautiful repertoire for french school lovers, notably Chaminade's Concerto and Enescu's Cantible et Presto. Flute and Piano parts in separate manuscripts. Accompaniment CD available for purchase.

This book is definately a must!
This book has 10 great, challenging pieces. Lots of amazing French flute music. And it is REALLY cheap for the amount of solos in the book. If you buy each one individually, you will spend over 100 dollars compared to this 15 dollar book! It is very much worth the money, because you will play these solos eventually. This is definately one of the best books I ever bought.

Excellent selection of pieces
This book is wonderful - lots of great pieces and all of them really bring out the beauty of the flute. Most require a lot of work, but the rewards are worth it.

Classics stay classic!
I played from this book in 1968 and it is still one of the great compilations of flute solos out there. I have used this book for over 40 years and the pages are now falling apart. A must!!

A must for serious flute students
If you are planning on playing flute in college then this book is a must. Many of the audition pieces are in this book. Great selection of pieces and great arrangements.

French Music Challenging
I am a average ability flutist trying to keep my skills and these selections will require a lot of work on my part. Great music though.

Love it!
I got this book when I was in high school. The first song I played out of it was cantabile et presto by Chaminade. It is one of my all time favorites. After all these years..about 18..my mom even still remembers me playing songs out of it at recitals and such. If you love playing the flute and have someone that can play the piano for you...buy it! You will love it forever!

Fantastic Collection!
What I love most about this book is that the pieces are very beautiful, dramatic, and show off the flute's sound--I'm currently in high school, and I love knowing that if I can choose a piece to prepare for an audition that I can turn to this book. One thing that should be noted is that all but 2 pieces (that are intermediate/advanced) are completely advanced, both stylistically and rhythmically--so be sure that you can deal with the complexity of the pieces first. Awesome book!

Fabulous book!
This book is a staple to every advanced flutist's repertoire! Many of the pieces were contest pieces from the Paris Conservatory, and this fact is reflected in their complexity. Many of the pieces also make wonderful audition pieces for colleges/universities and contests.

one of my favorites
French flute music is gorgeous & challenging but extremely rewarding to play. My copy of this book from college is falling apart but I still love it and play whenever I get the chance!

Great pieces but we dont like Moyse ed.
This is a great deal for the ones who dont care much about the edition. Very nice pieces from Enescos Cantabile et presto to Gauberts Nocturne et allegro scherzando, but I always wanted to stick to the original scripts and this book is a bit manipulated. The price though says it all. Buy it!

great peices
This collection is filled with many standards for flute repertoir. I love playing from this book. There is a lot of variety: from quick and technical to melodic and beautiful. Very expressive music.
