This book is fun to use, the combination of etudes with comparable classical pieces helps you not only to improve finger dexterity, but helps you to slide gradually into playing more complex authentic pieces

Great for starters
Excellent progression of scales/technical exercises interwoven with little music pieces which may carry forward something from the last exercise. Each piece is small enough to let you focus quickly on the targets within, and drawn from a vast range from the trite to the obscure. Would get 5 stars if...
