Studying Tschaikowsky's Russian Folk Songs
These pieces are sketches rather than developed ideas, mostly one page in length. They are excellent for giving the flavor of the area and time. I have been writing some piano pieces with similar harmonies and flavor, and am using these "songs" to broaden my exposure.
