For advanced fiddle player

The music is good if you can follow what is going on. The reason for the book is to learn not just to listen to something that is too hard. More explanation would be good.

I bought this for my son who is an 11 year old cello player. He loves the cello and loves playing everything from Bach to Stephen Foster; additionally he has excellent pitch. However i have tried to encourage him to just "jam" once in a while, to try and follow...

Imaginative, informative and delightful

Now that I'm starting to "get it", improvising doesn't seen quite as scary. I really like this CD, and listening to Geoffrey ( because he's fun and I think really good. I think it would be helpful to also have a second recording of each piece, with only the background...
