Here's the skinny on the book
I'm not going to sit here and say this book is easy, or I learned every song in a day! I'm gonna tell you this book is hard, not impossible, but hard. I have several of Jimi's books, and this is my favorite one. Everything is about as correct as one man can tab. Explains what pedals he used and when he used them, it has every big rock song you could ask for, if your more into his blues songs, then get Jimi Hendrix: Blues book. Get this book, but be very patient, and find one song you want to learn and stick to it! Within time you will start to get it down! Remember your trying to play the greatest guitarist there ever was, so keep at it!

Stunning. A masterpeice
This book is great for Hendrix fans and it is alot of fun! I would give it five stars but there are alot of songs i feel were neglected. I really wish that love or confusion was on there because that is a remarkable song. And izabella and in from the storm were neglected as well. I would like to have replaced wind cries mary or if six was nine or those really easy songs you can just learn on line with stuff like catfish blues or born under a bad sign. But nonetheless a great book with flawless tabs for a great price. GET THIS!

A Comprehensive Guide to Jimi Hendrix's Genius
The title of this review says it all. I think the best aspects of this book are (1) the notes written before each song which give background information about techniques employed by Hendrix or just trivia about the songs, and (2) the addition of the bass and drum notations which allows for a better understanding of the songs. Overall, this is a solid book, which is quite accurate.

Best music book ever!!!!
This book just prooves that Hendrix was the best guitarist ever. The paragraphs about the song are very helpful and it includes every single instrument played on the track. I was wondering if it inludes the whole song and it does. These songs are fairly easy to learn and i have only been playing for less than 2 years. This is the best sheet music book i have every had and any hendrix fan should have it. It includes Hendrix's hits and songs that shows off his talent such as " The Star Spangled Banner" which is easier than i thought to learn. I suggest yoiu get the CD to play along to. Get This Book! You won't regret it. You will play it for hours on end just like I have. GET IT!

Jimi is a GOD
this book definitley is a good buy, ive bought it and it gives you everything you need to know about how he plays and how the bass and drums need to sound. But you should think about getting a wah-wah peddle. It makes this book and playing guitar more fun and interesting.

its getting bought
ive bought it and it tells you absolutely everything even notes that you cant hear however finding the rhythms can be very difficult as jimi often uses different efects like a leslie and there are often so many parts that it is hard to hear what jimi is actually doing with the guitar if only there was a cd to accompany with only the guitar part

the wind cries jimi!
this book rocks! of course, if you expect an easy playalong-book you´re wrong, because everybody knows that jimi is a guitar-GOD. real jimi fans know how to play it and if something is too difficult, make a little improvisation. jimi would´nt mind, i think... so, no mistakes in the tabs and cool introdutctions to every song. if you listen to the songs enough and practise a little, you´ll figure it out. 5 stars without compromise.

Hendrix...need i say more?
This book is great! It has all the songs matching the cd and all are tabbed out perfectly to it. Learning these songs will give you a different view of how chords can be connected and such techniques as using your thumb to fret. Offers an intro to each song and includes bass, drums and any other 2nd guitar or instrument that is heard.I Find some of the songs hard in that their "riffs" being played are not easily recongnizable and could be open to your personaly change, very different from something like, say Back in Black by ac/dc. But the solos are great! WOW! There is a lot of info like how to get the intro sound to foxey lady and the flick in voodoo chile. Best book i have gotten. try it, you wont be dissapointed.

Damn!
I just got the book and I can't stop grabbing my guitar and playing the many details in this great sheet-book. This is for advanced players, but if you want it enough, there's no limits. A real Hendrix fan knows how it's to be done.

You MUST Buy This Book
If you are a Jimi Hendrix fan, and love playing his music, then you need this book. This book has his greatest songs, and what makes the book so amazing is the fact that not only does it have each guitar part, but also the bass tab, drums, and even vocals! The tab is virtually flawless. I've only played guitar for a few years, and I've been able to learn several songs already from this book. I would give it more stars if i could.

Great!
I am a big Hendrix fan, I really love his rock & blues songs, and this book helps me to learn more about his style that was so unique. I have only played guitar for some months, so I think it is difficult, but not too difficult either. I really like "Red House", so I try to learn that song, it`s not easy, but if I don`t try I will never learn either. So, even if you are not a good guitar player, buy this book and just play... all the time, one day you can handle the whole book!!!

Great!
I bought this book after finally getting my american strat that I dreamed about for 20 years! Great book, accurate, easy to read/play. If you get bored, try playing behind your head like Hendrix did (adds a new degree of difficulty!)

A Must...
I was very impressed with the incredible amount of detail transcripted in this book. This book includes all his well known songs. It describes the scales he uses in them and background info on the songs. It transcribes every single harmonic made through to the open and close on "Voodoo Child's" wah pedal, down to the tongue clicking sound in the 'ooh ah' bit in "Purple Haze." This was a very good buy, can be overwelming at times but you'll find yourself returning to it as it's a lot of fun.

Experience Hendrix
This is one of the best tab books I've ever bought. The solos are (IMO) remarkably easy, but the rhythm guitar takes a while to master. Hendrix had a very unorthodox rhythm guitar style, which makes learning his music both fun and challenging. The transcriptions are excellent, and almost all his essential songs are here. You should go through this book in order - the easy stuff like "Purple Haze" and "Wind Cries Mary" is all at the beginning, and will prepare you for the quirkier and more advanced stuff later in the book.

A True Legend
This is an amazing book for all guitar players. It's not easy but it's not that hard, as Fredrick Douglas says, "Without struggle there is no progress." If you like rock and blues, this book should be yours and no matter what anyone says it will develop you into a good guitar player, Jimi Hendrix is a prime example of a good guitarist and you might even figure out the mysterious ways of how he became so good.

A must for any Hendrix fan!
Whoever that was who supposedly played in a band for 5 years and said it was "too hard," two questions for you: 1. What the hell have you been smoking? 2. Where can I get some? This compilation pretty much covers the solid-Hendrix-hits. The transcriptions are like 99% accurate and gives you great insight into how technically gifted Hendrix was. This is, however, for those who have at least some guitar experience.

Jimi!
This collection is stunning. You could spend years soaking up Jimi's guitar licks and solos. The scores have bass, drums, vocals, and of course guitar--anywhere between one and four of 'em! Not for the weak at heart or the lazy, it even includes a transcription of the highly personal and technically challenging "Star Spangled Banner"
