Great little helper
I really enjoy working with this method book. It is clearly laid-out and very easy to follow. No book can replace a human a teacher but Essentials is a great and inexpensive alternative. The DVD interface is a bit clunky, at least on my computer but this is the only problem I have had. I plan to purchase other Essential titles.

Beginners progress quickly
I bought this book for my 9 yr old granddaughter who is a beginner clarinetist. She is making great progress, learning the notes, fingerings and finds use of the cd helpful. She tells us that if she completes half the book she will be eliglble for honor band next year.
