This fine collection of little masterpieces for violin and piano forms a showcase for the composer Edward Elgar. Not only did he write a wonderful concerto for violin, but also numerous short gems, a number of which you will find in this book. Like no other, Elgar knew how to combine emotion with a naturalness that never tires. There is no great virtuosity needed to do justice to the melodious and sometimes ingenious music from Elgar's Treasures. Thanks to the CD which you can use at home as well as for performances you will get a feel for the right mood.

    Elgar's Treasures

    Don't buy this album. It's not the original Elgar music and it doesn't really make fun to play it, if yuo know the original music

    Excellent choice

    This book and the CD are excellent, very flowing, a romantic style. I really enjoyed it.

    Very please with Elgar

    As a teacher, I have found this book very exciting. I like the accompaniment CD. The pieces are lovely and flowing. An excellent book for performing pieces by Elgar
