This piece is a musical adaptation of an old Czech folk tale... One night a man and a woman from two far away lands miraculously find themselves caught in each other's dream. They both are aware they are dreaming yet they are drawn deeper and deeper toward each other. The two instantly fall in love and dance at a feverish pace all night long. But morning comes all too quickly and they suddenly wake up in their own beds. The dream quickly fades and is soon forgotten by them both. Yet the echoes of the dance and the essence of their love for each other resonate in their hearts for the rest of their lives.
