        Highly recommended

        This book has given me many hours of pleasure both with a duo partner and alone with the CD accompaniment. The pieces are fairly simple although various parts do require some practice and the resultant melodies are very lovely.

        This book is exactly what the title indicates. Easy, confidence-building pieces, with clear fingering. Many of the earlier songs are single lines; it gets more interesting as you go toward the back. The last few pieces have some pretty arrangements.         Good book for a beginner

        Both of my daughters played recitals from this book. Ode to Joy was a particular favorite. The CD is nice because it allows them to hear the tempo and rhythm before starting to learn the music. We have had the book recommended to us by two different guitar teachers.
