        This book explains to children about music for the piano. It tells you about the staff, the treble clef, the bass clef, and the types of notes, starting with middle C. It also explains about the C major scale.

        John Thompson finally comes into the 21st century

        This book completely by-passes the usual "start on only the black keys with no lines or spaces" approach. I am using it with great success for a kindergarten beginner.         Decent beginner book

        Covers the basics. Treble and bass clefs. Whole notes, half notes, quarter notes. Middle C and the other basic notes of the scale(s). Brief, but effective.
