Jay Althouse has re-introduced its original text, quietly underscored by a haunting, Copland-esque keyboard accompaniment. After the ballad is sung in canon, it segues quite naturally into the traditional spiritual, "Jesus Walked That Lonesome Valley." Good addition to your library
This arrangement will make a good addition to your music library. The scoring of the opening vocal solo allows for the choir to sing in unison, and in a perfect range for most voices. The choral arranging of "Down in the Valley" is historically accurate (open 4ths and 5ths). Nice...
