Dedication (Widmung) by Franz Liszt (1811-1886) and Robert Schumann. Edited by Maurice Hinson. For Piano. Masterworks; Piano Solo; Solo. Alfred Masterwork Edition. Masterwork; Romantic. Late Intermediate. Sheet. 8 pages. Published by Alfred Music Publishing (AP.8003).
In 1840 Robert Schumann wrote many songs, including this love song, which was later transcribed by Franz Liszt. This piano work is a perfect example of the German romantic, songlike qualities of Schumann's works, coupled with the excellence of Liszt's compositional style, and it is playable without great difficulty by a late intermediate level pianist. Dr. Maurice Hinson adds historic and performance information to aid the artist.
