Beautiful yet Intence!
This was a really beautiful piece. You get what your see. The pages come in a very thin book, it's not page after page after page, very good packaging, and a really good arrangement. If you heard this piece, the Violin Part is what exactly what you hear in those everyday normal Czardas Monti CD's. Overall, this was a bargain price. Comes with the Violin Part as well as the Piano Part. Highly recommened, but put a lot of effort into practicing it, and it will sound very nice.

Unfortunately, Poor layout
The violin part should have been published on an A-3 size single-sided paper rather than on an A-4 double-sided paper. It is absolutely insensible to assume a violin player to turn the page in the middle of a fast passage.

So hungarian its almost italian
Signore V.Monti With your Csárdás for piano and violin you have created the greatest of all hungarian csárdáses (and there is hundreds of them - Brahms, Bartok, Liszt etc (all blood and soul hungarian guys). Therefore , I assume, You, as an Italian - are more hungarian than hungarians...ha !? Polonaise Toronto Ca.

Dramatic
This piece is a good introduction to the Roumanian Folk Dances. I teach it after the Mozart Concerto in D major no. 4. This is an essential piece with which to supplement the Suzuki method because of its severe lack of pieces from the romantic period. Teenagers will love this because they find it a good way to 'express themselves' in a time when they like to overdramatize things. This piece is anything but subtle--as I said, dramatic, and containing many flashy passages. It teaches simple double stops and chords, false harmonics, and sul G. Students will do better on this piece if they have a decent instrument, $4000+.

Difficult piece
I really like it. This piece isn't like Bach or Mozart because it's a romantic piece. Though Czardas might look easy, it's not because of the style of the music -- very expressive. I think for someone who has talent and can express the piece very well or who wants a challenge, go for it. If not, I suggest sticking to the Bach and Mozart pieces because their style isn't quite as expressive as Czardas.
