Mr. Anon One Star

Even Marty himself states that he plays things differently in the studio than on stage. In the studio, to record, he plays things more technical and logical. On stage he plays things "all over the neck" to make more of a show --- to make it look more difficult and more interesting. He has endorsed this book. You don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. Learn the music, then add the "show" to it once you have mastered the song.

This IS a great book.

Ignore the reviewer who gave this book 1 star. He says to look at live footage of marty playing the solos, but marty always improvised live so they're not the same solos anyway! All the parts in these books are accurately transcribed, INCLUDING THE SOLOS.

I know how to play these songs

I know how to play these songs (especially Marty Friedman's lead guitar parts) the correct way, and this is not the correct way to play them. Go watch some live video footage of Dave and Marty actually playing this stuff and you'll see the riffs & solos are tabbed out the wrong way in this book.

Very good book

minor tabbing errors, with some common sense and some thought, you should be able to figure out how to play the parts. Definitely worth the cash, and a very good book to learn from because it is some of Megadeth's best work but not near as hard as rust in peace. A good song to master for beginners is sweating bullets because it is miderately challenging but not impossible.

A good book.

ok.. basically the book does, like most books, have mistakes. as others say it doesn't i thought i should point out that it certianly does. small things here and there like hammerons and stuff not indicated properly. but the worst problem is the tab is sometimes clumbsy in both rhythm sections and solos. but most of it is very good. at the end of the day, lots of cool things to learn in this book.

Another Classic

Wow, what a book. Not quite as fast as Rust In Peace but there are some solos to die for and tabbed out 100% spot on. Riff wise there shouldn't be too many problems for guitarists of average ability. Another cool Megadeth tab book that delivers all the goods. Nice one!
