This concerto is a taxing work, and should only be played by players with a highly developed embouchure. The work reaches a high concert E on multiple occasions. This edition contains ornamentations written by Barry Tuckwell, all of which are stylistically appropriate and simple to perform. This edition contains 3 parts, a piano score, a horn part in D, and a transposed part in F.The piano reduction is relatively simple, and captures the sound of the original orchestra, without notable omissions. The parts are pretty accurate, but not perfect. The two mistakes consist of an 1/8th note which should be a 1/4, and a missing 1/4 rest in at the end of a measure. In both instances the music is spaced correctly, so it is entirely clear what the rhythms should be. Pitch-wise however, this edition is perfect. This is a very good edition. I would recommend it to hornist who has an interest in performing Telemann.
