great

This is a great piece, but it is difficult. I like the edition because it notes changes in part that is different from the score.

More Advance than the Brahms concerto.

The Grandfather of Violin Concertos

The Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major is truely one of the most prestigious pieces to perform. To be able to bring this on stage is impressive itself. In a concerto competition this piece can be more impressive than many pieces but because of it's popularity may be judged harder. It is quite difficult to have a successful career in competitions without this piece as one of your weapons. This piece is vital for a violinists performing career but does take lots of effort and tenacity.
