A wonderful concerto!
This is truly one of my favourite pieces for the horn. Although this concerto is less known relative to other horn concertos, it is definitely one of the important works to include in the horn repertoire. I will recommend the recording by Hermann Baumann as a very good guidline to...

A Very Nationalistic Work for Horn
Spectacular concerto by one of the lesser known of Russian Composers. Demands very well developed legato and staccato technique but very much worth it. This would make a great senior recital selection for a horn preformance major.
