      Get to Know This Piece

      The Pakhmutova Concerto is one of the most demanding trumpet pieces I have ever performed. It is quite lengthy and requires an incredible amount of endurance and technique. That being said, it is still one of the most musically satisfying piece I have ever worked on.

      Terrific unknown piece

      I've repeatedly used this piece for auditions -- it has wonderful passages that show off nearly all aspects of trumpet playing -- powerful lyrical melodies, fanfares, high and low range, delicate passages, difficult tonguings.
