really good
Ibert is a great composer in my opinion. I would suggest it to anyone who wants some fairly hard solos. MY advice is to have a good piano player and a teacher who modern classic music. Definitely great concertino. the second movement has a lot of depth to it.

for players who have played a lot
a modern classic Ibert made and is one of the hardest piece for the saxophone repertory, i personly loved it but to learn the piece you will have too play almost 4 hours daily on it!

Excellent practice material.
I bought this after I found out that Branford Marsalis had a recording of this piece of music on one of his CD's. It is a challenging composition for saxophone and coming from a jazz background, I feel it does not hurt to study some classical saxophone as well. I...

An exciting and excellent selection!
This is one of my favorite saxophone solos. It has everything: technical passages, lyrical passages, and sometimes difficult rhythms. An excellent selection, but make sure your accompanist gets it early.... The piano part is extremely difficult!
