"La Victoire" is mine!

I had played this delightful piece, apparently attributed to Rameau, as a child; and recently rediscovered my fondness for it. I no longer have access to the "Classiques Favorites" volumes so stumbled upon this site as part of a web search for the song. I have not tried the other pieces, but am certain I will enjoy them. I find this genre of music quite appealing. Being that it is French makes it all the more pleasant, albeit I normally favor Impressionistic music. :)

Amazing

What a great book! I believe it has everything you can get from the 3 Barenreiter volumes, at a much lower price. This book got me to love Rameau's music. Though i can't playmost of the pieces well, it's a joy to read the music while listening to recordings!

A life's work!

If you like Rameau's work - as I do - this is simply a "must get" item. Really wonderful transcriptions of 4 of Rameaus' collections for keyboard as well as a group that had previously been thought to be his work. It is fairly easy to come by some simplified (and pretty) versions of his pieces; but if you are interested in a clearly noted version of the trills and additions that he intended (i.e. complete notation) - this is what you will want. These editions were based on his manuscripts or publishings. This does not include his opera writings, although, after reading his biography, I found that many of these previously published works were incorporated into his opera "Zoastre." While some of these pieces are on the early intermediate side, the majority of them, with trills, etc. would be more advanced.
