This book is a total training guide for ANY trumpet player. It starts with the most basic foundation and progresses to advanced etudes. Read the author's intro and directions. But if you're into jazz you may chuckle at the comment about not playing above high C. (the author does make...

I had the Arban when I was learning in high school..and as an Adult I'm thinking about purchasing it again. From the exercises in the front to the solos in the back, with enough time you should be quite good.
