Took some rearranging

Played this to accompany a duet at a wedding. I had to do some rearranging because the melody is written in to the piano part, but that's pretty common with pieces like this. I think some people who have reviewed this have a different piece, because it isn't a Beginner piece. The chords are advanced and the rhythm is advanced as well, particularly if you want to play it as a piano solo. I am a piano teacher, so my perception of levels may be a little different than others.

Beautiful... but could be more beautiful

I have to agree with Jim from NY that the ending is anti-climatic (I was disappointed about that when I was sight reading), but aside from that I do enjoy playing the song. Not difficult to play overall, though I did have to practice a bit on the timing for a couple parts. Makes me feel good to be able to actually play this song instead of just listening to it.

ok

While this arrangement allowed me to sing the song the bride requested, I was disappointed. The given voice ranges were fine, the harmony was well-placed, but the end was anitclimactic. The bridge gives motion to the piece, then it gets quiet again, only to attempt a forte at the end of the song. I may be a little picky (I am a music educator and arranger), but it could've been better. Unfortunately, this is the best published arrangement of the song.

not what I expected

The song is a good song, however too many chords were put into the sheet music. I became very board because it didn't challenge much. The only challenge would be stretching my fingers to reach the notes.

Beautifully Performed

My favorite song. "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and to be loved in return." Reading that always breaks my heart.

Amazing

I fell in love with this movie and the emotions in the music...I bought the DVD, CD, and the music for this. It was perfect because it's not too difficult to learn... I'm playing it in my piano recital...one of the best decisions I've made in my musical career!

Should have choose a different versoin

I am a HUGE Moulin Rouge fan, you could say it is my favorite movie/musical. BUT, i was disappointed in this version of the song they decided to print the music for. I would have choose the version in the movie, the first time its played in the movie. I mean come on, they even focus on the piano at the end, that version was BEAUTIFUL~~

Doesn't Do the Song Justice

This sheet music does not do the real song justice. The piano plays along with the melody, and isn't good accompanyment because of that. If you're looking for a piece of paper that has the notes and lyrics, this will do the job. If you're looking for an arrangement that will be comparable to the recorded music, this music isn't for you. This music is very easy to play and can be learned very quickly.

Emotional

This emotional and moving duet will make a tear come to the eyes of any audience. Easy to pick up and extremely memorable, it is a fantastically written song for any voice. You can enjoy it as much as I have, only a few minutes after turning the first page. Ideal for performances.

Lovely

This song is quite simple to play and sounds wonderful right away, so it feels as though you've really accomplished something only minutes after you begin playing for the first time. The song is, of course very pretty and easy to sing along to. Very clear, well done!

What a GREAT song!!!!!!!

This song is the best single hit I've sung in years. It is a duo selection for intermediate to advanced singer. The song is high and to get the correct written rhythms is tough. But, it is a must have in the collection for years to come. Great song over all!
