Amazing Guitar

Houses Of The Holy is one of Zeppelin's greatest albums, and this book proves to you all the pure music and effort put into this album. Page's guitar lines seem to take you "over the hills and far away" and when you learn to play this music you really respect rock music more.... and plus you learn to play one of Zeppelin's best albums ever!

Great Book

It's a must have. "Over the Hills and Far Away" is perfect. I have been playing for a year and this is a perfect and challenging book for someone that has been plaing for a similar time.

Houses of the Holy

Houses of the Holy is Led Zeppelin's best guitar album, mainly because of the first three tracks. The guitar work on "Song Remains the Same," "Rain Song," and "Over the Hills..." is absolutely brilliant, and their complexity and acoustic flavor make for extremely fun playing. The rest of the songs carry their weight, but are by no means essential learning. The transcription is pretty high-quality, and unlike one of my other books, "Rain Song" is tabbed in its proper tuning. You'll need a year or two of experience to use this book.

tough

I find this album to be quite challenging. While every song has easy parts there is not one song that I can play more than half of. The solos are very hard, it's hard to feel the pulse of some songs (i.e. the crunge), there is some very tough picking (i.e. "song remains the same"), and many of the songs are simply fast and complicated. However, a good amount of the book isn't hard and the rest is simply challenging and not impossible.
