Always a Challenge
Spohr's four clarinet concertos are all fun and challenging to play. Kalmus has done some fantastic editions of music, and I really appreciate the accurate cues that are printed in the solo clarinet part. SPOHR PROVIDES VARIETY
This piece is interesting and challenging. It includes a broad scale encompassing almost the entire range of the Bb clarinet as well as several key and tempo changes. It is of very high quality and should be considered as part of a comprehensive portfolio.
