Carpenter's Anthology

While I am pleased with the Anthology, I am sorry that the vocal was set in that low key. It is much too difficult for most women to sing in. I purchased the book for a teenage girl with a higher voice. She has chosen to keep it, since she is very fond of the music.

Carpenters

This is a good overview of the Carpenters thru the years. Shame though there wasn't more from the lovely cd "Voices of the Heart."

a lovely tribute to the best duo ever.

An excellent book. I wanted a copy of "Sometimes" which sounds quite easy on the Carpenters CD but it's going to take a bit of practice !!

Thoroughly Useful Anthology

I bought this book for only one reason: I needed a copy of the Carpenters' short song, "Sometimes." I found it here in the midst of this anthology. I found the music of this song specifically, and the book in general, to work well as the piano solo I needed. I also found that this song, as well as all the others, was a good accompaniment to a vocal. That is what I appreciate about this book, that it is both good solo material and good accompaniment. I get the most for my money as well as well-written music at the level of difficulty for which I am looking.

I love the Carpenters

I am a female tenor. Karen Carpenter is one of only a few female artists I can sing. Thank you for carrying this wonderful book!

Carpenters Anthology

This is a great book. Still a bit difficult for me, but challenge is good. It has a huge selection and the arrangements are beautiful.

Great song collection...too low in range

This is a great collection of Carpenters songs. They are also great to sing along with. However, being someone who sings in the low soprano/high alto range (mezzo soprano), most of the songs in this book were too low for me to sing. If you are a really low alto, then go for singing these songs, but higher altos and mezzos, be careful because most of the songs are too low and you may have to transpose them up a few steps.
