After listening to the recording and glancing at the sample page provided this appeared to be a tasteful arrangement. However, I found that the recording does not adequately and honestly represent this arrangement. After I ordered and read through the piece I was disappointed. The piano part is not well conceived, sounding empty and hollow as both hands are separated by at least an octave for a majority of the piece. (in some instances two octaves) There's also an interesting boom-chuck section toward the end that's not flattering. I know little about the flute, as I'm a keyboard player, but I can tell you the flute portion of this arrangement is not for the faint of heart. Very Challenging! (thirty-second notes, nonuplets, undecuplets, etc...) Also, the font the arrangement is printed in is very similar to that of jazz piano and can be difficult for some to read.

I played this arrangement as my best friend walked down the aisle at her wedding...she loved it, and I received many compliments. It is a lovely arrangement-perfect for showcasing tone and rich low tones. I highly recommend it!

This is the most beatiful arrangement of Canon in D major that I have come across for the flute. Very challenging piece but well worth the effort.
