Love this!
I ordered this a while back and I have loved it ever since! It arrived quickly, quicker than I thought it would, and I found the arrangement very nice. I would say the difficulty is probably between intermediate and intermediate/advanced. The piano and violin looks really easy on the first page but gets harder as it goes on. I didn't have trouble learning it though... however I've played for about 11 years on the piano.

canon in D
I had hoped for a clearer publishing version for my violin practice however the arrangement is so completely different from what I am used to that I found it difficult to change as well as not liking the arrangement. Very dissapointing. My current practice version is by von Max Seiffert

Canon in Suzuki
All in all a pretty good arrangement but there is one section that sounds way too much like a Suzuki study, the ones we all learned when doing twinkle. It is wrong for the style and ruins the piece. Leave that one part out and you have something that is very adiquate.

Absolutely Brilliant
This piece is so cool. Man oh man and this is probably the best arrangement of it out there, the only thing better is the original. If you like great music by great men of old check this piece out. You will not regret buying this. If there were 20 stars to rate with I would give it 30 stars. And I have been playing violin for a year and a half so I know what I'm talking about.

It's Nice
It's a nice piece of music, but I was a little disapointed because they changed the music a little and added a new melody.

Easy, yet still beautiful
I played the more complicated version of this song with my seventh grade orchestra for a state competition. We got a "superb" from the judges and a standing ovation! No other song can compare to Pachabel's "Canon in D"! This version is very simple and I must say I am dissapointed. I will keep searching for the version I played, but in the meantime, this is great to play for a warm-up!

okay
This work would do as a warm-up. It is beautiful, but isn't hard to play. I'm thirteen, and have been playing for five years.

A little different
I'm used to playing an orchestral piece instead of violin/piano, a little variation, but do-able

no surprises, no problems
Will need to play in 1st and 3rd position, although one can avoid the third position. Overall, an adequate rendition for my purposes.

Great Disapointment
I was very diapointed by this piece of music. Instead of the Canon in D that I love I got a poor arrangment that only slightly resembles Canon in D.

Nothing can Compare!
I'm in grade 7 and I am very satisfied with this piece.I appriciate what the composer has created. This song is so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes! Everyone in my class loves it as well, and we've played this song in one of our concerts. The audience enjoyed it so much, they gave the song a standing ovation.None of our other songs got a standing ovation,or got as much applause proving that no song can compare to "Canon in D."

Beautiful, but not quite there
That Pachebel's Canon in D is a celestial piece of music, there is no doubt. As a violinist, I was, like some others, a little disppointed with parts of this version. I kept thinking that it was me--that I was doing something wrong--because it just didn't sound like the Pachebel that I know and love. Then I took it to my instrutor and she agreed that the violin part in this arrangement, at times, sounds a bit harsh. If this easy arrangement helps you play this beautiful piece of music, good, but don't be suprised that, if you have listened to the music over and over again, you will feel as if you are not always playing the same piece.

What a beautiful piece!!
I am a violinist soon to be in grade 8, I have been playing this since grade 4 and still love it! It is truly an amazingly breathtaking piece! Not sure I quite liked this version, because as said earlier, it has been simplified, but as always it still sounds simply superb! You have to play this piece at one stage or an other. You will fall in love with it as I have!

Toned down version
Toned down version for beginners. I was looking for the original pachebel canon (the version I used to play in an orchestra) and this was not it. Some of the most beautiful parts of the piece was edited so that it'll be easier to play. I was quite disappointed to be honest.

Pachelbel Johann
I love his song! The flowing of the music and it lovely tune! First it will go slow and solf but at the middle it become more faster and louder. And when you play it, it will start from a simple notes then it will becoming more and more harder which for me is very challening. And do you notice that this canon song has come in all type of instrument ;violin, piano, frenh horn and many more.

Simple
This is the famous Pachabel Canon in D, the violin part is very nice and simple. The tune is carried right through the piece. This is becoming one of my favourite pieces of music! :)
