Canon In D by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706). Arranged by Ricky Lombardo. For 2 flutes. Flute Duet. Wedding, Baroque. Grade 4. Published by Kendor Music Inc (KN.14178).

In this abbreviated version of Pachelbel's most famous theme, a continuous dialogue between players splits the melodic responsibilities evenly. Naturally, playing with good expression and balance are of paramount importance. Duration 2:25.

Nice Arrangement

This is a very nice arrangement considering it is only for a flute duo. I was skeptical of an arrangement of Canon in D for only two flutes and figured the piece would be lacking in some areas or just completely watered down but it was really very nicely arranged....

There's better

This really isn't all that great.. If you want a good set of Canon for flute, you need to purchase a set made specifically for flute choir. IT has 4 flute parts, alto/bass flute, and a part for clarinet accomp. It is much more pretty sounding.
