blues fiddling classics
I was very disappointed with this book. The written music does not follow the recording . No help for someone trying to learn!

Blues Classics
I really like the music that has a CD with it. My only problem is that some of the fingering techniques needed were difficult with me. I had a problem keeping up with the CD. I would have liked a CD that had a slow tempo and then a normal tempo for practicing.

Instructive and Entertaining
Very enjoyable book for anyone interested in basic traditional blues fiddling. He plays the "head", which is of late beginning/early intermediate difficulty, and then provides very tasteful examples of solos, which range up to early advanced difficulty. (Some require competence in the 3rd and 4th positions). I am a semi-pro musician, and was able to incorporate these tunes/licks into my performances immediately. So far, I have not been disappointed with anything Duncan has put together.

Get the Blues
Well written and phrased. The CD is a great help for getting the feel of these classic blues tunes. I highly recommend this book, especialy for someone who needs a break from other repertoires.

overall good
The music in it is great, but getting the cd is almost a necessity to get the rhythm right. Rhythm is a little tough but I'm having a great time learning it

Blues Fiddling Classics
This is such a beautifully written book. The pieces sound amazing. I couldn't wait to play. The beginning of each tune is relatively easy and half way through the tune it grows more complex adding twists and turns to the main song line. Great to put on headphones and zone out everything else. Works exceptionally well playing along with guitar.

Inspiration to Play
I have always enjoyed the blues and only dreamed of playing them on the violin. After retiring the violin 30 years ago, the Blues Fiddling Classics has inspired me to play again. I have learned the first five tunes and look forward to more as well as learning to improvise on my own. Thanks for this.

Excellent
Excellent collection of intro-intermediate to intermediate blues songs complete with a play along CD that contains every song in the book in its entirety. I wish this guy made the same exact book except in tango!
