Unraveling nifty guitar work
This book will help you discover how the arrangements and solos were created for some of Steely Dan's great songs. They will also show you that you don't have to restrict yourself to a specific key when writing music. The CD is a great help as you work through the songs.

Accurate transcriptions- Very helpful cd
I've been playing for 2 years straight and I was able to play Randall and Carlton licks after a few days practice. After some more practice I'll be full speed. The slowed down song versions on the cd help to get the sometimes tricky inflections of SD. This is the best artist book I own. (Practice your scales;)

Great transcriptions w/ play-along CD
I've been working w/ this book for about a month and guitar leads I never thought I'd be able to play like Carlton's famous "Kid Charlemagne" lead--I'm playing! The tab along with the CD to play along with--at regular speed or slow speed is the best for tackling something as challenging as the SD guitar classics. This book has me looking for more in this "Legendary Licks" series of books!
