For the Intermediate Student
The piece is nicely done. The idea of clearly identifying the chords used provides classical students an opportunity not often seen in this venue. The notes are a little on the small side and at times crowded together but still acceptably readable. The book could benefit by having each of the movements clearly identified as they are in some publications. This would then help to focus attention more on the very different character of the movements in this symphony, some of which can be effectively performed in isolation from each other. In difficulty the book is at the low end of the intermediate range. The piece will not please the more sophisticated student who is playing Chopin's Revolutionary Etude or Beethoven's Pathetique. For this student I would recommend, the slightly more difficult Franz List Translation.

The choice of beethoven's 5th symphony.
This book is really good. All chords are beautiful to the ears and cheaper than other 5th symphony books but even better. Published by Hal Leonard, this book delivers good quality. best choice!
