A superb Transcription
The transcriptions by Franz Liszt are extremely complete in terms of voices from the orchestral score. For the pianist, this means lots and lots of notes to play ! And many voices to conduct at the same time. Often Liszt uses one extra staff (or two or three ...) to...

For the Beethoven connoisseur
Understand that this is a reproduction, albeit a pretty good one, of the original publication from the 19th Century, and the print is a bit on the small side. The intermediate pianist will be stretched extensively learning these works. Franz Liszt was attempting to put every voice of the orchestra...

The guy was fenomenal! Of course, his hands were humongous and not everybody can do what he did at the piano. Many times the music is way too crowded because he wanted to include as many notes as possible from the Symphonies. it not an easy read, but it's a...
