Absolute Necessity!
This book should be on every pianist's shelf...the pieces are so beautiful and intricate, and although they sound difficult, they generally aren't. Plus, there are a lot of fun rhythmic patterns to play around with! I highly recommend this to anyone, even if you aren't a fan of Vanessa.

Fabulous
This book is a really great book if you're a singer, you know someone who sings well, or you just like to play the real deal. It has all of the original music from her album. Even though it was pretty easy, I loved just being able to play the real music, and it's good for performances, but if you're looking for the piano solo, this isn't it. I do, however, recommend this book to Vanessa Carlton fans that play the piano.

A MUST-HAVE
this is one of the best books i've seen in a long time! no matter what genre of music you prefer to play, i guarantee you will like these songs! they are fairly difficult but there are a few very simple songs that still sound awesome, such as "Paradise" "Twilight" and "Wanted". You will not regret picking up this book, its well worth it for ANY collection!

Awesome songs. VC is amazing
I'm 15 and just recently started to teach myself piano (I can read music because I play viola, but never actually took piano lessons). So I got the Be Not Nobody songbook back in January and it was very intimidating for me, but the songs surprising came along quite easily. My favorite is Wanted. It sounds quite difficult when you play it, but it's really easy. Many songs are simple but sound very beautiful. I recommend this to any piano player who enjoys Vanessa Carlton's music. Vanessa Carlton is amazing. I only hope that she has a song book for her new album.

Well...
I thoroughly enjoyed working through this book. I was surprised at how easy some of the pieces were. The hardest were probably 'Rinse' and 'A Thousand Miles'.I would suggest you play this and listen to the music at the same time. It helps if you like singing along. The only song I didn't like was 'Paint It Black'. It's better to listen to that. What shocked me was this actually was the accompaniment. It didn't follow the latest trend of having only the vocal arrangement with strategically placed chords here and there. It's an excellent book for Vanessa Carlton fans and very well-transcribed. If you like this, I suggest you also get Mandy Moore's 'Only Hope' which has a beautiful arrangement, but it's been transposed to a different key. Another good book is Norah Jones 'Come Away With Me'. For Piano Rock fans I suggest Ben Folds 'Rockin' the Suburbs'. Like this book, it too has the ACTUAL arrangements. IT's more difficult than this book, but worth working through!

Pretty Songs!
I love the songs, but im a little dissapointed. Because the songs are written as accompniments and so you are not really playing along with the melody of the song. But they are fun to play one you get them down. Have patience!!!

GO FOR IT!!!
Seeing that i only reaches grade 5 in piano and gave it up two years ago, this book was surprisingly easy, but i would recommend getting the CD too so you have some idea of what you're meant to be playing and to know how its meant to sound. But i was very surprised at how easy some of the pieces are! If you like her CD,definatly get the book!!!

Good Book
I bought this about a week ago. They vary from early intermediate to intermediate/advanced. 'ordinary day' being simple, '1000 miles' being ...not very simple. They go with what vanessa would play instead of the melody [as stated already] and i really DO recommend it. This book/album was [clearly] made with a pianist in mind.

I love it!
I love this songbook! The songs are a bit hard to play but if you practice you can get it down. They are also fun to play. I reccomend this to anyone who enjoys playing the piano.

BEST POP MUSIC PIANO BOOK EVER!
You really have to love the music to sit down and learn it. Some of the songs are easy, sight-readable, but some of the others (two of which have 5 sharps) it takes a while. The music can look more intimdating than it really is. One thing I like about this book is that for 9 out of 11 songs it doesn't include the melody in the piano line. I enjoy singing and playing at the same time, so this was great!! I definetley recommend this to any pianist who enjoys her music!

Hum... but what about the guitaress?
I'd have to say, overall this is a good book. The chords are printed clearly, however it's not very instructionary. There is no tablature. These songs are great to play with friends that play keyboard, and the drumming rhythm is helpful. It's good for people that can recognise basic chords, but aren't bored, as these songs take a lot of practice! Happy strumming
