The Only Adult Beginner Book I Use
I have used Book 1 and 2 for years and plan on continuing to do so. It's comprehensive including theory, technique, and sightreading. The learning songs are OK, and the "Challenge Pieces" are very nice. Students are able to advance quickly because of how the book is formated. I recommended...

My first impression of this course didn't thrill me, but having used the course for some adults who needed to move more gradually changed my mind. A Comprehensive Tutor Book
This is not a "been there done that" book. Keyboard concepts are carefully sequenced; tunes and studies are attractively arranged; applaud the careful use of technic, theory, articulation and expression. Better Choices Available
I found this book to go on and on without getting very far very fast. Unlike other Bastien materials, this series covers only half of the key groups. The authors recommend following up with their Older Beginner method book 2, but that back-tracks in terms of difficulty of music. I...
