Great program

This is an easy to understand program. We have been using it for two years, with three kids they all can do it.

Good introduction to music theory

I recommend using this book along with the lesson book - the simple explanations help make sense of music theory even for the most beginner beginners.

A good theory book

I like that this book encourages students to write their own melodies. The kids I teach have loved to do this. Also, there is thorough introduction to note-reading. Since some pages require quite a bit of work, I would recommend the book for ages 8 to 12.
