Great collection, tunes you can't find elsewhere
I am really enjoying this book. As a still-learning, intermediate player, there are some songs that are pretty easy, and some that really make you stretch. Also, a good mix of sytles, from classic blues, to hard rock, pop, Motown, and a little country. There are some tunes that I have never found tab for elsewhere. A great addition to your music library.

decent help for learners
So many of these tunes are familiar, and that's the trick. If you really know the song, if it's encoded in your DNA, then your use of the tabs/music goes so much easier. The choice of material is a little vanilla mainstream for me, but still there are some great tunes. It's a something for (almost) everyone kind of classic rock compilation.

Comprehensive and Extensive
This book is all over the place, in a good way. There are a bunch of awesomely memorable bass lines in here, as well as a bunch of songs that are just running eighth notes, but that's par for the course as far as bass-playing goes. The one star off is for these two things: One, the paper is VERY thin. This reduces the weight of the book, but in a paperback, it leaves your pages vulnerable to damage by folds/tears/wearing out. Two, a lot of the songs are, as previously mentioned, just running eighth notes. The sort of stuff everyone else in the world figures out by just listening to the song twice. Tabs help on songs like Jerry Was A Racecar Driver (if you have a six-string, fretless bass :P), but they're completely useless on I Want You To Want Me. Even so, this book deserves four stars. All the songs have at least adequate transpositions and the scale of this book can only be described as "immense."

Great book for bassists
I did a lot of research on which book to buy and was not dissapointed in my purchase. Tons of great songs with the actual sheet music, not just tabs. I highly recomend this to any bass player.

Excellent variety for beginners and up
This is a great value, whether you're just learning to play or want to get some more tunes into your repertoire. The sheer number of songs ensures that you'll be able to find at least a few that you know, along with some that will be easy to pick up and others that will challenge you as you improve.

200 Songs For $30. What A Bargain!
With a variety of bass lines from the simple to the complex, this compilation of about 200 songs for $30 is an excellent buy. Oldies, contemporary, jazz, heavy metal, grunge, blues, straight-ahead rock: they're all represented. As a relative beginner, I appreciate the inclusion of several songs that, with practice (and some stretch), are within my abilities. Songs include melody lines, and lyrics are usually listed, although some are abbreviated. It's hard to imagine a better buy. One criticism: occasionally the tablature lines do not correspond with the notes. Otherwise, I can't say anything negative about this collection."

Bass Tab White Pages
This book is the best value for money, widest variety of interesting songs to play on bass. The songs follow the original track better than most tab I've downloaded free, and definitely better than all the beginner books I've bought. I join the other reviewers in wanting to see more editions of this book, with hopefully no song duplication.

Bass Tab White Pages get it done!
Excellent resource. Accurate transcriptions minimize time to learn new material. A great help for bass players when guitarists call tunes from the Guitar White Pages! Thanks for printing it 8.5 x 11 (whole book a bit much on a music stand). Should be available on CD-ROM! Great value and an efficient way to collect written music.

pretty decent
this book has a lot of songs in it and they range from the mid-50's to present. i was greatly impressed at the variety of tablature recreated in here and to the extent of accuracy. i have already played a few of them completely with the original recordings. great buy for anyone.

Great collection of songs
This book is a great buy! It has 200 songs, and has a good mix of artists and genres in it. It's good if you don't have to much money to work with, but you want to get as much as you can with your budget. I would say yes, buy it if you have the money :)

pretty good
this book does have a lot of songs. lots of them r good also. but i agree that they shuld sell it in different genres. my band doe sthe classic to heavy stuff n this book has lots of stuff ive never even heard of. and im dissapointed that they have no rush songs in it. before u buy this really look and c wat songs r in it and if it fits u. it is a good buy that i suggest u to make if u want 2 expand ur bass playing skill. also look at the 25 essential rock bass classics.

Ehh.... not all that great
Sure, this thing has over 200 songs, and that's all great, but they aren't too good for the closed minded musician. What I mean is, people who listen to System of a Down or Metallica generally don't listen to the Beach Boys. Maybe if it was sold in different genre it would be perfect.

BASS TAB White Pages! Awesome...
Our instrumentation follows Led Zep and others because we are three piece and multi-instrumental. We snapped up this book fast when we realized that it covered so much of the material in the Guitar White Pages Tab collections. This companion volume filled a gap in our toolchest that we couldn't live without. The tab is accurate and concise and will even surprise you with the depth for certain passages you aren't going to find anywhere else. When there is a figure that you can't get - this book will show you. We can't wait for the follow-up to cover the pieces that haven't been tabbed yet. Don't leave this book off of your shopping list if you are compiling rehearsal tab - this is a unique volume that we want to see more of.
