This is my favorite setting of this text. The additional ATB cam be accomplished with a trio or a larger ensemble, so this is perfect for a group of any size.

This is an incredibly beautiful composition. It's lovely melodic lines flow and build. It's at its most effective in the 7-part male version, but this version is almost as beautiful.

way better than the one you hear at weddings
I sang this with mens' choir in college a few years back, and have finally hunted it down. It was my absolute favorite in my years studying music, and I can't wait to get my church choir in on it today. It's one of the most beautiful and moving pieces I've ever heard.

This is one of the most beautiful and moving pieces of music I have ever heard, bringing tears almost every time I listen to it (Robert Shaw). It is so inspired, it could only have been written with divine inspiration. It is too bad that this piece is not more widely known.

An outstanding 'Ave Maria'
This is a really outstanding choral work. With the ( monastic) male voice choir singing the hymn like setting the ladies voices soar over it gradually building up the glorious ending. Gave much pleasure to the choir and to the audience.

This "Ave Maria" is gorgeous. At the time our choir sang this piece, we had been together for 4 years under the same conductor (the man is a genius to pull this piece off with us so well). After hearing Schubert's and Gounod's versions of this prayer, it's hard to imagine that a better version exists. This would be the one. It has a wide tonal range and wonderful counter-melodies. It is long and difficult. I would definitely recommend this challenging and rewarding piece.
