Great Value
I had been looking for Piazzolla for violin and guitar for a long time when I found this. With so many great pieces this is fantastic value. Buy two so your violinist has their own copy. Easy page turns. Only short coming is the lack of fingering notes but given it is for advanced players shouldn't be a major issue.

A great combination: Piazzolla, Violin and guitar.
If you like Astor Piazzolla, this is the book for you. Some of Piazzolla's most famous works ... of course, it opens with Adios Nonino, his musical elegy to his father. It is not easy, the rhythms are difficult and the guitar part is a challenge, but with practice it is well worth it. It is not often the violin and guitar can be brought together in such a culturally appropriate way. The problem is finding a proficient guitarist who can handle some of the most difficult arrangements. It is tango at its best. I have played violin for over 45 years and found these works a challenge.

Feeling for tango is essential
Extensive collection of Tangos (36!), with different levels of difficulty. The transcriptions for violin are not always easy to interpret. Great fun to play, once you get the feeling! You need to be a Piazzola fan, if you want to enjoy playing his music, or get the feeling for it.

Tanguero but something we can aspire to.
As I am completing a doctorate on tango music interpretation these tangos are an invaluable reference for me in respect of Piazzolla's contribution to tango music, displaying the myriad inflections that we have come to expect of the master. Nicely produced copy, easy to read and a good basis for further arranging or expanding!

Nice arrangements
I play mandolin in a guitar and mandolin duo, and we play many of these in our performance. A great find. However, you need to listen to the music and get a feel for the dynamics and feeling for playing this type of music.

Excelent music, great arragements
Excelent music. These arragements are a great oportunity to aproach Piazzolla's style in a fresh yet accesible way. Of course it is necesary toliten to this music to realy capture it's full range, but after all great transcriptions apropriate to the intermediate ensamble. Very enyoyable!.
