Excellent content, terrible print quality
This is an outstanding improvisation method. The play along CD is excellent, the choice of tunes is great, the exercises that accompany each tune are extremely helpful. However, there are two main drawbacks. First, each transposition of the book (Bb, Eb, bass clef, etc.) is sold separately. Second, when my local music store ordered several copies for their inventory, the copies that came were printed so poorly that I can't in good conscience as my private students to buy the book. They look like they were cheaply re-scanned and printed with light gray ink. (It seems the store is stuck with the copies it has.) I'm concerned that if my students were to buy new copies online, they would be of comparably bad quality. Alfred, I hope whatever method you used to print the books will be phased out.
