Stretch out that thumb!
The songs in this book are a bit easier to play than some in the A-N collection, but some songs like "Pudding Time" and "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" will require some pretty hot and fast fingers, either on the slap or on the fret. On the plus side, none of these songs require a six string except for "Tommy the Cat", and if you're tricky you can transcribe it over to a four string. The only real downside I could find, is some of these songs sound so much better on a fretless than on a fretted bass, although they can be played either way. If you like Primus, this is definitely the way to go, because before I bought this book I waded through countless tablature sites only to get half right bass, and almost no guitar tabs, for this very influential and accomplished band. If you are an avid Primus fan such as myself, I would also Highly recommend the A-N version of this tab book. Two thumbs, five stars.

Excellent Tablature Book
Les Claypool is one of the best bassists, ever. Obviously his songs will be hard to play, but this book tells you what he plays, and gives you insights to his style, whether it is slapping, strumming, tapping, or his 3 finger playing. This book has helped me a ton, and I only really wanted it for one song. I learned a lot of technique through this book, and am still learning. My suggestion is to take it slow and piece by piece. Some of the songs are incredibly fast, so going slowly to start out is a must. The guitar tabs are also an added bonus, and Larry Lalonde is a phenomenal guitarist, so if you are interested in his stuff, get it! Primus are great musicians. They are considered "out there" by many, but they are original, and a damn good band. Check out the other anthology and take a look at the songs on each, then take your pick. Hope this review helped.

One word: Primus
alright... there's little to say here. you only need one word: Primus. it's got some great songs on here, and makes it easy to play, even if you kinda suck, like we all did at one point... but, simply put, it's Primus. nuff said.
