Rarely does any single publication have such an effect on band literature as this unique and striking composition from 1994. Individually, the parts are relatively simple. Yet the combined effect is sophisticated and impressive far beyond its easy level. Michael uses a wealth of contemporary devices (including tone clusters, recorders, singing, pencil tapping) to create an aura of prehistoric times. so amazing!
I play flute in a middle school band, so I get to do a lot of the new, different parts. Like the recorder, the singing, and tapping my pencil on the music stand. This is my favorite piece of music I've played all year. I LOVE IT! I can't wait...

LOVE IT
I played this song at metro honors band{the best out of the best got to go} and i loved it. i am low brass and i played first bone second chair out of like 10-15 i love it so much. when a big band plays the low brass tend to...

just my opionion
I think it sounds great, i went and seen our middle school play it. They played the song by pros first and it almost sounded the same. But i talked to some of the band members and they stated the wasnt there favorte

simply marvelous
we just started playing this piece in my band class and i already like it. this is the type of song that i love to listen to. it has a mysterious and ancient sort of sound to it. it's simply marvelous!!!
