All Saxophonist Must Have This Book!
The given ideas of practicing scales and arppegios Major 7,Dominant 7,Minor 7,Minor 7b5 and Diminished are "All In One" package for jazz improvisers. There are tons of important stuff to develop your skills in this book.

Tons of good stuff..
You can keep this book on the shelf and take it down every week or two and get another gem. I've pretty much adapted the warmup exercises I daily from the first 7 "ways" - the emphasis on ear training and commiting basics to memory, as well as 12-key transposition,...

Having been off the horn for close to 50 years, I'm finding my feet (fingers) again . . . albeit slowly. It's a hobby that entertains only myself. The play alongs and "amazing Phrasing" are helping to a degree I can't begin to discribe. I can only say, I'm glad...

Broken into three sections: Melody, Rhythm and Harmony this title gives the intermediate student instruction on 50 separate concepts in relation to improvisation. Complete with CD backing tracks and examples it provides an all round structured introduction.

Exercises for all skill levels
As an adult who's played tenor only a year I wanted some way to progress other than just choosing more challenging music. I think this book will fill the bill nicely. The first page is easy enough, but my music teacher commented "there is a lifetime of material in this...
