Alleluia by Randall Thompson (1899-1984). For SATB Choir. Choral, easter, general. Octavo. 12 pages. Published by E.C. Schirmer Publishing (EC.1786).

Perhaps the most often performed American choral work. The millions of copies sold since its composition in 1940 for the opening exercises of Tanglewood (the summer home of the Boston Symphony) attest to its endurance. Complete text: "Alleluia. Amen.".

absolutely beautiful piece

This piece truly can be one of the most beautiful songs written, and it brings tears to my eyes and shivers up my spine every time I sing it or hear it sung.
