Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course Level 1

My 15-year-old student took to this book like a duck takes to water! She's fast progressing and loving her ability to see her own progress.

good beginner book

I found that this course helps the student (Adult or older child) achieve at a faster pace. The songs are more intereesting than not,tho i still have to give them pop, and gospel on my own. I look forward to the more advance course for my students!

Czerny is more fun than this

The progression I achieved through this book was satisfactory. So the method aspec of it is sound. The choice of music is, however, abysmal. Even if you like some of the original pieces, the arrangements are just awful. Most of them were cliched pieces which a bit embarrassing to practice.
